Chengyao Li, PhD

Dr. Li is Professor and Director of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Southern Medical University, Guanghou, China. He received his PhD degree in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Changchun University of Agriculture and Animal Science (currently merged in Jilin University), China. Dr. Li had a long experience working with Professor Jean-Pierre Allain in the Division Transfusion Medicine, Department of Heamatology, University of Cambridge and National Blood Service and Transplant, UK.
Prof. Li is engaged in the field of transfusion medicine education for students pursue the degrees of bachelor, master and doctor, and scientific research for blood blood safety. His research interests arethe transfusion transmitted infectious diseases. Dr Li mainly works on molecular epidemiology and immunology of HCV, HBV, HIV and Brucella infections from blood donors. He has published more than 40 scientific papers and served in blood transfusion medicine field for 20 years.
